Practicing Presence

“What I have found to be true for me is that the space from which I can most deeply access and experience what really lies beneath the face value of that question, as well as an antidote to the need for it at all…

is within the silence, the compassionate stillness, the spacious allowance of all that arises, accompanied by my willingness to mindfully befriend this moment—and this one.

The wonder and absolute grace of connection and belonging—within which there is no need for protection—is a gift of both perception and experience to which we may all have access.”

Public Yoga

Kaylee Nelson

Black Swan Yoga

“I believe deeply in the healing powers of movement, and am dedicated to spreading my knowledge and love of movement to anyone and everyone who is interested.

When I began to practice daily I quickly noticed a shift. I was no longer flailing around, I was moving with intention. I was no longer holding my breath, I begin to take my first conscious inhales and exhales.

My smile got a little bigger. I think my heart did, too.

These things have followed me off of my mat and contributed to a way more peaceful life. My teaching style is alignment focused with a big emphasis on not taking anything too seriously. If you leave my class feeling a little lighter and a little brighter, then I must be doing something right.”

Yoga Therapy

Kaytee Hernandez

Rebel Yogi

“In 2015 I completed my RYT 200 training through CorePower Yoga in Austin. After completing my initial certificate I accepted a teaching position at CorePower studios. It wasn’t long until I decided to leave my nine to five to pursue teaching full time.

Over the next two years I amassed over 1,000 hours of teaching yoga classes, through corporate clients, private instruction and group classes at studios around Austin. During this time I led a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training through CorePower and began mentoring new teachers.

These experiences allowed me to see the therapeutic application of yoga through personalized, one-on-one interactions. So in 2017, I decided to take the next step and pursue a career in Yoga Therapy. Since then, I’ve completed my RYT 500, Children’s Yoga Teacher Training, and Yoga Therapy Certification ( C-IAYT) through Yoga Yoga.

Today I use these skills to help others discover their personal power and inner healer. I teach public yoga classes and I offer mentoring, yoga therapy and children’s yoga therapy. I feel like it is part of my purpose and it brings me joy to share this practice with others.”
